Rosalie Minnie Cherry, 75, of Maxwell, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015, at the Story County Medical Center in Nevada, Iowa.

Rosalie was born January 22, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Anthony and Mildred (Spivey) Griffiths. She graduated from Martinsdale High school and earned her Bachelorette degree from Iowa State University. Rosalie was united in marriage to Keith Cherry on August 11, 1963. Keith preceded Rosalie in death on April 6, 2014. Rosalie was a Home Health Care Provider for many years. She was a member of the Cambridge United Methodist Church, the Dorcas Society and Kappa Phi Sorority. Rosalie was a 4-H Achievement Judge and judged State and County Fairs. She loved her grandchildren and helping other people.

Rosalie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Laura and Jeff Galbraith of Maxwell; three grandchildren; and her brother: Robert Griffiths of Prole, Iowa.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 31st, at the Cambridge United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to the Cambridge United Methodist Church and to the Maxwell Fire and Rescue Department.
