MRS. ELMER FRETTE
Mrs. Rosie Anna Frette, daughter of the late Benjamin and Annie Hendrickson, was born Jan. 6, 1894 on a farm north of Story City. She died March 1 at the age of 70 from a heart attack at the Story City Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for days.
She spent her entire life in and around Story City. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was a long term member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. She was united in marriage to Elmer Severin Frette July 24, 1914 at the Lutheran Church in Nevada. Mrs. Frette was preceded in death by her husband; four sisters: Claire Hendrickson, Cora Thompson, Mary Hendrickson, and Hattie Abbe, one still-born brother, one son and one grandson, Luverne.
Survivors include four sons: Earl of Story City, Roy of Boone, Lloyd of Urbandale. Kenneth of Dallas, Texas; six daughters: Mrs. Effie Murdock, Mrs. Hyla Manges, both of Des Moines, Mrs. Florence Ross, Mrs. Arlene Clabaugh, Mrs. Marie Kline all of Boone, Mrs. June Givens of Fullerton, California and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 4 at 2 p.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, Iowa, with Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating. Pallbearers were Darwin Johnson, Jerry Calilguire, Richard Ness, Guy Hicks, Duane Horness, and William Williams. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
