OBITUARY

W. L. WOOD [sic]

William K. Wood, pioneer in the days of earliest settlement and before the organization of this county, successful farmer, prominent citizen, representation in the general assembly in the early life and patriarch of numerous and worthy family, died Wednesday evening at the home just south of Iowa Center, where he had lived for 65 years, and his funeral will be conducted there this afternoon. In less than another month he would have been 94 years of age. More extended notice of his long and honorable career will be made in our next issue.
