DR. BUNCE DIED TUESDAY AFTERNOON
BODY WILL BE BROUGHT HERE FOR INTERMENT PROBABLY THURSDAY.
Word had reached Nevada of the death in Des Moines late Tuesday afternoon of Dr. D. J. Bunce, 87, former well known resident of Nevada. The body will reach Nevada some time Thursday, probably on No. 30 over the Northwestern, and be taken to the Nevada cemetery at once, where interment will be made by the side of his wife who did a few years ago.
The body will be accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Day, his grandson Melvin Day and wife and by other relatives and friends.
Dr. Bunce was for many years a prominent figure in religious circles of Iowa. A practicing veterinary in Nevada in an early day, he was converted in a revival, became a Holiness evangelist and for over a quarter of a century was engaged in that work.
He moved to Des Moines about fifteen years ago, where Mrs. Bunce passed away. His daughter then made a home for him and he established his grandson in business there.
Dr. Bunce had a wide circle of warm personal friends in Nevada who have kept in touch with him since he left here and have been concerned about his condition during his long illness and confinement to his home.
