Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Richard was born on September 13, 1951 to parents George and Ruth (Gragg) Highland in McCallsburg, Iowa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

Richard Highland of Urbandale and formerly of Roland died June 2, 2015 at his residence in Urbandale at the age of 63 years.

Richard is survived by four children: Tony, Angela, Tim and Heather; his sister, Georgette Matheason and brother Kenneth (Mary) Highland.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Highland; infant brother, Ronald Highland and sister, Sammie Lybarger.
