Timothy J. Anderson was born September 24, 1953. Tim was baptized and confirmed at Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland where he was a lifelong member. He was active as a lector and an usher at Bergen.

After graduating from Roland-Story High School in 1972, Tim attended Des Moines Area Community College where he graduated with honors. Following college, he worked for 35 years in the Road Design Department at the Iowa Department of Transportation in Ames. Tim was given a Best Design Award for his work on the East Mixmaster in Des Moines.

Tim was very artistic and in his spare time enjoyed drawing pictures. He spent a number of years as a volunteer EMT for the Roland First Responders.

Tim passed away March 13, 2015 at 61 years of age.

Tim is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Anderson, of Roland; two brothers, Scott (Cindy) Anderson, of McCallsburg and Steve (Debbie) Anderson, of Mesa, Arizona; two sisters, Linda (Marlin) Klehm, of Clarion and Ann Lorenger, of Chandler, Arizona; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Orvis T. Anderson; and his brother-in-law, Thomas Lorenger.

Tim had an infectious zest for life. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him was drawn to his incredible spirit - a spirit that is impossible to forget or replace - but lives on in the lives of those who loved him.
