Wilma Faye Simmons
Dec. 8, 1907-May 18, 1995

Wilma Fay Simmons, 87, of Nevada died of congestive heart failure May 18 at Rolling Green Village.

Wilma Faye Fulkerson was born Dec. 8, 1907, to George H. and Martha Jane McKee Fulkerson in Rockwell City.

She graduated from Lake City High School in 1926. She married Elmer L. Young in Lohrville in April 1926. He preceded her in death. She married Henry A. Beck in Columbus, Mo. He died in 1967. She married Donald H. Simmons on Oct. 17, 1969. He died in January 1995.

She was a member of the Nevada Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge #234 of Nevada.

She had lived in Nevada since 194 and was a cook at the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity at ISU.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer Young, Henry Beck and Donald H. Simmons; her parents, George and Martha Fulkerson; four sisters, Myrtle Snavely, Mable Snavely, Ruth Long and Lillian Mae Fulkerson and four great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Roy Young of Nevada, her daughter, Patricia F. Myhre of Nevada; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were May 25 at 2 p.m. at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home.
