Kenneth Lee Skjordal
February 23, 1960 - January 5, 2015

Ken Skjordal left us too soon on January 5, 2015 at the age of 54.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Grace Bible Church in Gilbert, IA (308 Mathews Drive, Gilbert, IA 50105).

Ken is the son of Jerry and Carol (Rickard) Skjordal, arriving in this world on February 23, 1960 in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Ken loved everything about the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,and camping. He had
a passion for motorcycles. He especially loved riding his motorcycle long distances, making
several trips to Sturgis and Mount Rushmore. He loved working with his hands. He was a talented mechanic and excelled at working on motors. His family spent many weekends gokart racing. Ken would fine tune the motors and the boys would dominate on the track, filling a room full of trophies. He was also a very artistic and creative man. Ken kept his three sons in his thoughts with everything he did.

Ken was fortunate enough to have three special women come into his life; Rachael Weigel, mother of Paul and Joe; Lynn (Skjordal) White, mother of Jerry; and at present lived with his significant other, Tracy Mudra.

Ken is survived by his sons, Paul (April) Skjordal of Story City; Joe (Heather) Skjordal of Ames; Jerry (Jessica) Skjordal of Indianola; granddaughters, Sarah and Emma; grandson, Thomas;
brothers, John (Edna) Skjordal of Gilbert; Paul (Bonnie) Skjordal of Gilbert; sister, Katy (Shawn)
Skjordal of Grand Ronde, Oregon; father, Jerry Skjordal,;his nieces, Adangia, Mindi (or M as he
called her), Amy, Jossie; and nephew, Lucas.

He was preceded in death by his mother; Carol "Honey" Skjordal, and uncle; Casper; and his
grandparents Ralph and Mary Jane Rickard.
