Eugene was born on December 25, 1938 in Story City, Iowa to Arthur John and Mabel Willatena (Oswald) Tesdall. He graduated from high school and served his country in the Air National Guard from 1956 to 1963. Eugene married Barbara Petty on June 28, 1959. He worked 38 years with the Department of Transportation as a utility agent. He was a lifetime resident of Story City and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, carpentry and his family.

Eugene Richard Tesdall, 75, of Story City died December 12, 2014 at the Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa.

He is survived by his son Brett (Laila) Tesdall of Story City, IA and one granddaughter, Gabrielle and three sisters, Marjorie Dale (Jim) of Story City, Leota Berg of Jewell and JoAnn Adair of Webster City.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara on October 23, 2000 and sister Ruth Stark.
