Ross E. White died Wednesday
ZEARING -- Ross E. White, 78, Colo, died about 11:35 p.m. Wednesday at Story County Hospital form injuries received in an auto accident Friday.
A lifetime resident of Colo, Mr. White was employed as a barber. He served as mayor of Colo for a time and was a member of Za-Ga-Zig Shrine in Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife, Celia; three daughters, Mrs. Lorraine Hartwig, Oceanside, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Richards, West Des Moines, and Mrs. Doris House, Harford, Calif.; a brother, Glenn White, of Colo; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Olson and Mrs. Anna Lounsberry, both of Colo, Mrs. Isabel Bandford, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Mrs. Elizabeth Banks, Nevada; nine grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Colo Methodist Church, with the Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating. Burial will be in Colo Cemetery.
The body will like in state the Brouhard Funeral Home, Zearing.
