ELMER L. CUMMINGS

Elmer L. Cummings, 76, died Friday, Dec. 19, 1986, at Mesa General Hospital in Mesa AZ.

Funeral services were Monday Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Loring United Methodist Church near Maxwell IA with Rev. Harland Gant officiating. Burial was in Collins Evergreen Cemetery, Collins IA.

Mr. Cummings was born Feb. 12, 1910, in Maxwell to Clarence Cummings and Alice Brown.

He was married to Ruth Huffaker Nov. 20, 1929.

He was a retired farmer and spent winters in Mesa AZ.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth, two daughters Shirley Sesker of Marengo IA and Marilyn Petersen of Ottawa KS; a sister, Pearl "Polly" Jay of Mingo IA and 17 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Cummings, and two brothers, Howard and Gerald Cummings.

Funeral arrangements were handles by Cooper Funeral Home of Maxwell.
