Obituary for Patricia McCauley

Patricia E. McCauley, 85, 0f Maxwell, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Rolling Green Village in Nevada.

Pat was born September 23, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Fannie (Pierson) Thornwall. She graduated from Maxwell High School in 1947. Pat was a homemaker who loved to sing, sew, quilt, garden and mow. She was a member of the Maxwell United Methodist Church and the Maxwell Sewing Club.

She is survived by her son: Larry (Betty Jaeger) Cleverley of Mingo, Iowa; a daughter: Ellen (Rick) Rhoads of Collins, Iowa; a daughter-in-law: Margaret Cleverley of Maxwell, Iowa; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Janice Winey of Urbandale, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: John Cleverley; two brothers: John Thornwall, Charles Thornwall; and a sister: Merrilyn Thornwall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Patricia E. McCauley Memorial Fund.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2014, at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell. Graveside services will follow on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Center Grove Cemetery in rural Cambridge.
