Rites Monday for Mrs. Hines

Bertha H. Hines, 80, 1321 Douglas Ave., died Thursday at Mary Greeley Hospital.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. from Stevens Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Roy C. Key officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Born near Ames Sept. 13, 1888, Mrs. Hines was married to Edward Warren, who preceded her in death. She then married Joe Hines, who preceded her in death in 1969.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Pythian Sisters and DUV. She worked at Mary Greeley Hospital more than 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, Donald L. Warren, Boone, and Clarence Warren of Bowling Green, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Ernst, 1204 Kellogg Ave.; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the Stevens Memorial Chapel Saturday afternoon through Sunday evening.
