Gloria Horning
June 11, 1933 - September 26, 2014

Gloria Horning age 81, of Story City, formerly of Audubon, Iowa passed away September 26, at Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa. A celebration of life memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Bethany Manor Chapel 212 Lafayette Ave Story City, Iowa. Burial will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery Audubon, Iowa.

Gloria was born June 11, 1933 the daughter of William and Faye Small. She married Dean Horning on January 15, 1966 in Nebraska. The couple farmed together until they retired and moved into Audubon where they managed the motel. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and quilting. The couple moved to Bethany Manor in September of 2013.

Gloria is survived by her husband Dean Horning of Bethany Manor of Story City, her children, DeEtta (Dwayne) Fiihr of Story City, Bill (Tersea) Murray of Audubon, Craig (Cindy) Murray of Audubon, Sherrie (Kevin) Irwin of Story City, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters, Darlene Myers of Perry, Shirley Shaw of Audubon, and Butch Small of Atlantic.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers.

Memorials may be directed to Bethany Manor in Story City, Iowa
