Lawrence (Larry) D. Stotelmyre, 60, of Ames, Iowa, joined our Lord on September 12, 2014.
Larry was born September 8, 1954 to Franklin and Beverly Stotelmyre Leinart in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He served in the United States Army and was employed by the USDA. Larry enjoyed golfing and bowling. He also enjoyed playing in a band called "Colorado Crossroads" where he was known as “PreacherMan”. Other nicknames were 'Stot' and “Lare Bear”.
Larry is survived by two daughters, Sabrina (Dillon) Arch, of Milliken, Colorado and her son, Kyrin and Heather Stotelmyre, also of Milliken; his mother, Beverly Leinart; his brother, David (Holly) Stotelmyre, of Cedar Rapids; his sister-in-law Myrna Leinart; a half-sister, Jackie Davis; Samantha Hise, his ex-wife of 25 years; and several nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Stotelmyre; step-father Marvin Leinart; one half-brother, Robert; and one very special Aunt, Noni Crisman.
