Mildred E. Saathoff, 99, of Collins, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.

Mildred was born October 10, 1914, to John and Lena (Segerstrom) Carlberg. She graduated from Storm Lake High School and had attended Iowa State University. Mildred was married to Allan Sathoff who passed away in 2004, and was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was an accomplished seamstress.

Mildred is survived by her son, James (Linda) Saathoff of Minneapolis, MN; her daughter, Kay (Chuck) Struthers of Collins; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers; and three sisters.

Mildred has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Collins United Methodist Church in October. Burial of cremated remains will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada is handling arrangements.
