Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Elaine was born in Randall, Iowa on November 25, 1941 to Ernest and Erma (Sydnes) Williams. She graduated from high school and worked in retail sales. Elaine married LaVerne Pierce on June 27, 1959. She was a lifelong resident of Randall and the Story City area. Elaine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren and loved going to their activities. She also liked to sew and watch sports and especially the ISU basketball games.

Elaine L. Pierce, 72 of Story City, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.

Elaine is survived by her husband of 55 years, LaVerne, and their six daughters: Sherri Mortvedt (Marty) of Nevada, IA, Shelli Story (Stacy) of San Antonio, TX, Shawn Brand (Fred) of Springfield, MO, Suzanne Mullenbach (Jon) of Gilbert, IA, Shayleen Brause (Paul) of St. Peters, MO, and Stacy Peters (Darrin) of Fenton, MO; sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother, Verdis Williams of Farmington, MN and one sister, Bonnie Matson of Mission Viejo, CA

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sharon Williams and one brother, Edward Williams.

Memorials may be made out to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Israel Family Hospice House.
