Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

Scott was born January 11, 1956 in Omaha, NE to Kenneth and Betty (Thorson) Swanson. Scott graduated from South Hamilton High School and Iowa Central Community College. Scott married Melissa Mabee on December 3, 1988. He worked at Hanson Homes for 25 years as a carpenter and for the past five years Scott owned Swanson Construction and farmed for Wayne Neuman. His kid's athletic events were very important to him and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many friends.

Paul Scott Swanson, 58, of Story City died July 8, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Scott is survived by his wife, Melissa of Story City; one daughter, Morgan Swanson and fiancée Nick Amundson of Roland; one son Matt Swanson and his friend Sandra Samuelson of Ames; one sister, Kristi (Randy) Hetland of rural Story City; three brothers, Mark (Marylou) Swanson, Jim (Donna) Swanson both of Story City, Rob Swanson of Stratford and numerous family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
