Timothy Ryan Jenks was born August 28, 2000 to William Shier and Cynthia Jeanne (Kakalik) Jenks in Des Moines, Iowa. Timothy was a student at Ames Middle School and attended Collegiate Presbyterian Church. Timothy, more than anything, was full of life. At school, he participated in band, orchestra, and chorus. He was a member of the Ames Middle School Cross Country and Track teams. He also played and refereed for the Ames Soccer Club, and swam for the Ames Cyclone Aquatics Club. He was training to race this summer with the Z3 High Performance Triathlon Team.

Timothy passed away June 26, 2014 at 13 years of age.

Timothy is survived by his parents, William and Cynthia Jenks, of Ames; his
brother, Christopher Ian Jenks; his twin sister, Olivia Anne Jenks; and his
grandparents Nancy Shier, Stephen Jenks, Jane Odell, James Kakalik, and Debby
Kakalik, all of California. His family knows he will be remembered by his many
teammates and friends.

Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a memorial the family will arrange shortly.
