"Evelyn Irene Wright, 38, R.R. 1, Nevada, died Wednesday of cancer at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Memorial services will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 2 p.m., at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Evelyn Wright was born in Fort Dodge to James and Mary (Fanning) Wright. She lived in Nevada for 34 years and in Omaha, Neb., for five years. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1970; attended Ellsworth Junior College; and graduated from Iowa State University. She was employed as a supervisor at Mid West Survey, Omaha, Neb., and she volunteered time at the Jordan House, Des Moines.

She is survived by her parents; two brothers, Edmond Wright of Nevada and Marvin Wright of Altura, Minn.; one sister, Linda Wright of Cedar Falls; her paternal grandmother Edith Wright of Rolfe; and her maternal grandfather, Leo Fanning of Fort Dodge.

Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada.
