OBITUARY OF MRS. WORSLEY
Former Story County Woman Died of Cancer
Roland, May 7--The funeral services for the late Mrs. W. A. Worsley were held at Salem's church, Thursday afternoon at 1:30, the services conducted by Rev. Olaf Holen. The choir of which the deceased had once been a member sang two songs. She was laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery.
Clara Elizabeth Worsley was born at Seattle, Wash., September 28, 1891. At the age of four she came to Roland and was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Grove. She attended the local schools and graduated in 1909, she attended Drake university for one year, studying music and was director of Salem's choir for a short time. After her marriage the Worsleys continued to live here until about 14 years ago when they moved to farm near Titonka, where she lived at the time of her death. About a year ago she was taken sick with cancer and she took treatments at the Mayo Bros., hospital at Rochester but of no avail. She passed away May 1, being 36 years of age. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and two sons, Theodore and Richard, her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grove and one foster brother Cyrus Grove and also two brothers and several sisters.
