Kenneth Glaspey, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Nevada, Iowa. Ken's wishes were to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time.

Kenneth Dean Glaspey was born July 18, 1934 in Crosby, North Dakota to Sam and Esther Glaspey. He grew up in Lignite, North Dakota and graduated from Lignite High School. Following graduation, Ken enlisted in the United States Army and was a proud veteran.

On August 5, 1967 Ken was united in marriage to Bonnie Kay Johnson in Mason City, Iowa. Ken worked in the maintenance department at Iowa State University until his retirement.

Ken was an avid fisherman and took many fishing trips with family and friends. Ken also enjoyed golfing, being outdoors, and was an Iowa State Cyclone fan. Most of all he loved spending time with Bonnie, Jeff, and his grandchildren who all held a special place in his heart.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; son, Jeff Glaspey; grandchildren, Jessica, Austin, Ava, and Griffin Glaspey; and great-granddaughters, Delanie and Aspen.

He was preceded his death by his parents; and two brothers, Don Glaspey and Keith Glaspey.
