MRS. DELBERT MARTIN

Mrs. Floy Martin, 27, wife of Delbert Martin of Nevada died at Iowa sanitarium Sunday evening from meningitis, which had developed in the mastoid glands. She had been taken ill earlier in the week, but was taken to Iowa sanitarium Friday and there she submitted to an operation in which it was found that the meningitis was very far advanced and her condition was critical.

Floy Lillian Eggland was born in Roland, Iowa July 24, 1908, being the daughter of Osmond I. and Annie Eggland. She grew to womanhood in Roland and attended school in that city, graduating from that school in 1926. Later she attended the State Teachers College in Cedar Falls.

On June 13, 1980, she was united in marriage to Adelbert Martin. Unto this union a son was born, Adelbert Junior. Floy Martin was a member of the Salem Lutheran church in Roland and after her marriage she affiliated with the Memorial Lutheran church in Nevada.

Her parents, Osmond I. and Annis Eggland, her brothers Eric, Irvin and Ernest of Roland and Donald of San Diego, Calif., in addition to her husband and son of Nevada, survive.
