Jess Anderson died Monday

Jess Anderson, 83, Nevada, died Monday at Story County Hospital. Services are Friday at 1:30 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. D.W. Edwards officiating. Burial is in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born Nov. 6, 1890 in Elkhart, Ind. He was a resident of Nevada since 1931 and was a feed salesman. He married Belle Fairbairn Sept. 9. 1931 in Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Anderson was a veteran of World War I.

[He is survived by] daughters, Mrs. Ethel Ball, Independence, Mo., and Mrs. Myrtle Rosene, Nevada; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, and a grandchild.
