Bessie Hall-Foote Died at Mason City; Burial Here Thursday

Mrs. Bessie Hall-Foote, 75, native daughter of Nevada, died at Mason City Dec. 3 at 10 a. m., and the body will be brought to Nevada for burial.

There will be funeral services held at Mason City Thursday morning at 10:30, after which the body will be brought to Nevada and burial will follow brief services at the graveside at 1:30 p. m. Thursday.

Rev. Reynolds C. Murdock of the Methodist church will be in charge of the service here. For further information, friends may call Lilly's Funeral Home.

Bessie Hall Foote was born in Nevada, Aug. 25, 1871, and died in Mason City at 10 a. m., Dec. 2, after being an invalid for nine years.

She graduated form the Nevada high school with the class of '88, and from the Iowas State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She taught in rural schools, Roland and Nevada for 12 years.

She was united in marriage to Frank N. Foote in Nevada July 30, 1902. They lived in the country near Nevada for several years. In the spring of 1913 they moved to Minnesota. Two sons were born to this union, Carroll H. Foote of New York City and Paul N. Foote of Mason City.

Her husband died at Winnebago, Minn., in May 1925. In October of that year she came to Mason City to live with her sister, Miss Ethel Hall, principal of the Garfield school.

She united with the Methodist church in her early girlhood and remained an active member as long as her health permitted. She was active in the W. C. T. U. and other groups for many years.
