Wojciech Maria Kornaga
August 25, 1981 - April 24, 2014

Obituary

Wojciech M. Kornaga, 32, formerly of Ames, died April 24, 2014 in Morrisville, North Carolina. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St John's By the Campus Episcopal Church, 2338 Lincoln Way, Ames. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Stevens Memorial Chapel, 607 28th Street, Ames.

Wojciech was born on August 25, 1981 in Poland; the son of Tad and Izabela Kornaga. He graduated from Ames High School in 2000 and University of Iowa in 2004 with a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Mathematics. Wojciech worked as a consultant for Accenture in Chicago and North Carolina which allowed him to travel the world. Exploring foreign cultures was a definite passion of his. Always living life on the edge, Wojciech loved to try new things. Most recently, Wojciech opened his own business, Junk King in Raleigh, NC, where he specialized in recycling.

Wojciech is survived by his mother, Izabela Kornaga of Schaumburg, IL; his father, Tad Kornaga of Cambridge, MA; a sister, Ella Kornaga of Schaumburg; a brother Kuba Kornaga of McCallsburg; a half-sister, Mia Miles of Big Rapids, MI; a niece, Emmalee Kornaga of Nevada; his partner of ten years, Debbie Kornaga; and his beloved dog, Maggie.
