Marlis Marie Bell was born March 31, 1935 to Ernest and Angie (Johnson) Frank in Odebolt, Iowa. She married Cecil Bell on July 2, 1953. Marlis had lived in Huxley since 2007 and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading books and spending time with her family.

Marlis passed away at the age of 79 on April 10, 2014 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Marlis is survived by her husband, Cecil Bell, of Huxley; her children, Mitzi (Zan) Steinberg, of Aurora, Colorado, Kelly (Bill Anderson) Collett of Fort Collins, Colorado, Alan (Dyan) Bell, of Boone and Tom (Charity) Bell, of Ogden; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, LaVerne Frank, of Cherokee and Raymond Frank, of Lake View.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Marvin Frank.
