H. G. Ambrose Rites at Nevada

Funeral services will be held Wednesday for Harry Goodman Ambrose, 91, of Nevada, who died Sunday [April 20, 1958].

Mr. Ambrose died about 10:45 p. m. Sunday at Story County Hospital, where he had been a patient three days.

Born at Milledgeville, Ill., he had lived in Story County most of his life. He was in the retail mercantile business for 70 years.

He was a member of the Methodist Church and had been active in church affairs for the past 60 years. he was a 69-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a charter member of the Nevada Rotary Club, and was a member of the Community Club and the Iowa Century Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ella; two daughters, Mrs. Harriet Kinsey of Nevada and Mrs. Shirley Hammond of Earnezeld, N. Y.; a sister, Mrs. Eva Adams of Boise, Ida.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a. m. from the Nevada Methodist Church. The Rev. David Ash will officiate. Burial is to be in Nevada Cemetery.

The Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nevada business houses will be closed from 10:30 a.m. until noon, Wednesday.
