ELI DOTT ALLEN

Funeral services will be held from the United Methodist Church here on Wednesday at 11 a.m. for Eli Dott Allen, 82, of 1021 Seventh Street, Nevada, who died Sunday morning at the Story County Hospital.

Rev. Marvin L. Hulse will officiate at the services, with burial in the Nevada Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home until Wednesday morning.

Born Dec. 6, 1889, in Story County, he was the son of Grant and Belle Allen. A retired farmer, he had lived his entire life in Story County and had just recently moved into Nevada.

Cause of death was a coronary attack, for which he had been hospitalized for three days.

He married Martha Louise Rasmusson on Feb. 19, 1913 in Story County and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son Delmar F. Allen of Virginia Beach, Va., one granddaughter and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two daughters.
