GEORGE A. KIMBLE
George A. Kimble, 72, custodian of the Story county court house of the past ten years died at the University hospital at Iowa City Tuesday.
Mr. Kimble, who had been failing in health for some time--his condition endangered by severe exposure he underwent in an automobile accident earlier in the fall, had been at the hospital since about Thanksgiving.
Mr. Kimble was a son of one of the pioneer families of Milford township, one of three sons of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kimble, now deceased. The only other brothers are Clarence Kimble of Sioux Falls, S. D., and Elroy Kimble, now a resident of 5702 Congress street, Oakland, Calif.
He leaves in his immediate family besides his wife his son Lowell and daughters Vivian, Mrs. Galen Mann of Nevada, and Dorothy, Mrs. A. C. White of Belmond.
Mr. Kimble was for many years a farmer of southeastern Milford township, but moved into Nevada in about 1930, and since January, 1932, had served as custodian of the county court house.
He was a graduate of Iowa State college, a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic Lodge.
