MRS. MARY TRUSSEL
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Memorial Lutheran church at Nevada for Mrs. Mary Trussel, 59, who died in Des Moines May 20. The service was in charge of Dr. J. O. Simon and interment was in the Nevada cemetery.
She was united in holy matrimony to William Hardin in April 1898. Two daughters were born to this union. One daughter, Mae and Mr. Hardin preceded the mother in death years ago.
On December 6, 1922, she was united in marriage to Richard Russel. She has made her home in Des Moines for a number of years and was a member of the Wesley M. E. church.
She is the third in the family to be called to the Great Beyond within four months. Her aged mother, whom she helped to care for during her last illness, passed away on February 2, 1985, and seven weeks later her brother, Ever, was called by death.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, one daughter, Mrs. George Roggensack, of Cedar Rapids, two grandsons, three sisters, Mrs. Clint Godfrey of Nevada, Mrs. Marne Illingworth and Mrs. William Kepke of Des Moines. Three brothers, Mates of Mankato, Minn., Peter and Thomas of Des Moines, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
