FORMER AMES MAN IS DEAD
W. G. Wright, age 80 years, died at Iowa Sanitarium in Nevada, Saturday* evening at 11:30 and the funeral services were conducted by Mrs. J. G. Leitch, in the absence of her husband, from the Central Presbyterian church in tha city, Tuesday afternoon, interment taking place in the Nevada cemetery.
Mr. Wright was born Aug. 2, 1887, at Prescott, Ontario, and came to Chicago when a young man. Later he crossed the plains and resided in California for five years, after which he returned to Chicago and was married to Miss Margaret Leora Gary at Warrenville, Ill., Jan. 1, 1866. The following year they moved to this city, where they lived and reared their family of four children, that being their home until 1898, when they moved to Nevada.
Mr. Wright spent the greater part of his late years traveling and was one of the founders of the order of Gideons, that splendid body of Christian traveling men, being chaplain of the order from its inception to the time of his death. He also devoted considerable time and energy to temperance work over the state, and was well known and highly respected.
