HERBERT EDWARD KOEHLER

Herbert Edward Koehler, 76 of 1335 10th St., died Friday, April 22, 1983 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 25 at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Rev. William Willis officiated. Burial was at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Koehler was born June 1, 1906 to Nicholas E. and Anna (Linquist) Koehler in New Prague, Minn. He was married to Nina Walker Wilson on Oct. 9, 1940.

Koehler farmed in the Shipley area from 1940 until 1958, when he moved to Nevada and worked as a road builder for Crawford Construction Co. until retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Nina; one son, Keith Koehler of Chicago, Ill.; one stepson, Leo Wilson of Ankeny; and one siter, Mrs. Emma Hilgers of San Maeto, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
