PAUL EVERETT SUTHERLAND

Paul Everett Sutherland, 73, of Nevada, died Wednesday, May 7, 1986, at Long Term Care, Story County Hospital, Nevada. He had been ill 20 months.

Mr. Sutherland was born Nov. 12, 1912, at Oskaloosa IA to Victor and Blanche (McMahon) Sutherland.

He was married to Helen "Louise" Merrill March 17, 1934. She died Dec. 17, 1984.

Survivors include a son, Richard Sutherland of Plattsmouth NE; a daughter, Donna (Mrs. Ray) Stoeffler of Nevada; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Willis Sutherland of Winterset IA and Mack Sutherland of California; four sisters, Leon Beardsley of Oskaloosa, Beatrice Johnson of Oskaloosa, Mary Gas of California and Cleo Daynes of California.

Mr. Sutherland was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen; a daughter, Joice Miller on Dec. 17, 1984; an infant son, Howard Victor Sutherland; a grandson, Dennis Sutherland on May 12, 1983; and two brothers, James and Dellis Sutherland.

Mr. Sutherland had been a gas station attendant. He served in World War II in Europe. he lived in Oskaloosa and then in Nevada-Colo area.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the First Christian Church in Nevada. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada.
