Adella Harper died Wednesday

Mrs. Adella Harper, 87, Des Moines, died at Iowa Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, about 6:55 Wednesday.

Born at Scranton, Kan., she came to Ames from Lohrville.

Mrs. Harper was an Ames resident from 1920 until moving to Des Moines in 1965.

She had been employed with the Iowa State University hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mrs. Harper is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Golda P. Harper and a sister, Mrs. Georgia Wishman, both of Des Moines; a brother, Arthur Benshoff, Garrison, N.D.; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar G. Harper in 1950; a son, George in 1963; a daughter, Alice Marie in 1965, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday from Adams Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
