HELEN W. YOUNG

Helen W. Young, 75, of 1937 10th St., Nevada IA, died Thursday, March 12, at Oak Park Care Center in Nevada.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 16, at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames IA with Rev. Vliggotf Tugg of the Church of the Brethren officiating.

Mrs. Young was born Sept 18, 1911, in Ames. She graduated from Gilbert IA High School and lived in the Ames area. She owned and operated an antiue shop in Nevada for many years.

She was married to Boyd I. Young Dec 24, 1936, at Ames. He died Oct. 23, 1977.

Survivors include one stepson, Bob Young of 3520 S. Duff, Ames; one daughter Nancy Davis of Ankeny IA; two sisters, Laura Van Bree of Harlingen TX and Josephine Daugherty of Kansas City KS, and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Nannie (Jones) Wakefield.

The body lay in state at Adams Funeral Home Sunday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
