Obituary for Colista Annette WillColista Will, 41, of Nevada, went peacefully to heaven Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames after a long battle with cancer.
Colista was born June 1, 1972, in Story City to Eddie Bochmann and Rosalie Warren. She graduated in 1991 from Ames High School and was united in marriage to John Will on December 20, 1996, in Nevada. Colista was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nevada. Colista worked for Krysilis (now Mosaic) for 13 years and the Nevada Elementary, as a cook for 11 years. She had also worked at Rolling Green Village as a cook for three years. Colista worked all while raising five beautiful, smart and active daughters. She enjoyed watching her daughters grow and attending all the many activities they were involved in. Her children were her life. Colista loved her pets; her lab Toby and maltipoo, Bentley that she called Bent-Bent.
Colista loved to laugh, make jokes and hang out with family and friends. She loved camping, reading, the Wizard of Oz and Disney. She enjoyed riding on the back of her husband’s Harley.
Colista is survived by her husband, John of Nevada; her daughters, Ashley of Ames, Heidi, Courtney, Emily, and Bailee all of Nevada; her parents, Rosalie (Allen) Thompson of Ames; her maternal grandmother, Ruth Warren of Nevada; her sister, Tiffany (Sean) Thomas of Ames; her brother, Clint (Carrie) Thompson of Maxwell; her nephews, River and Devon of Maxwell; her niece, Tori of Ames; along with Eddie (Gwen Waalkes) Bochmann of Maxwell and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; maternal grandfather; three aunts and two uncles.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada, 1418 Fawcett Parkway. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Nevada, 1036 7th Street, with Pastor Chris Waddle officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada Soccer Club in loving memory of Colista.
