Obituary From Adams Soderstrum Funeral Home, Story County, Iowa.

LuVerne E. Mortvedt was born on March 21, 1923 to Elmer and Selma (Ose) Mortvedt near Radcliffe. He married Allie Loeschen on October 11, 1947 in Ames. They farmed north of Roland until moving into Story City in 1987. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing, cooking, his family and he loved farming.

LuVerne of Story City, died February 26, 2014 at Riverside North in Ames at 90 years of age.

LuVerne is survived by his wife Allie of Story City; two sons, Roger Mortvedt of West Des Moines and Jeffery (Susan) Mortvedt of rural Radcliffe; two daughters, Janet Mortvedt and Paula Mortvedt both of Story City; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother Everett of Story City and a sister Lillian (Wilford) Anderson of Ankeny.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Niemeyer and a sister Sylvina Satre.
