W. P. (Werner) Grossman, 70, 202 Lincolnway, died Sunday afternoon at 3:07 in the Story County Hospital where he had been a patient for a month. He had been in failing health for the past four years.
He was owner and operator of the Circle Theater and the former Palace Theatre in Nevada since coming to Nevada in 1921.
Born at Waverly, Sept 8, 1889, he was a son of Gottlob and Anna Grossman. He was married in Des Moines in 1921 to Myrtle Salter who survives him.
He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church, the Nevada Masonic Lodge, A. F. & A. M., was a Shriner and a member of the American Legion.
Surviving are the wife Myrtle and one daughter Miss Gloria Grossman of nevada. He also leaves five sisters, Mrs. Cordelia Poppen, Roseville, Mich.; Mrs. Helene Hahn of Des Plaines, Ill.; Miss Hilda Grossman of Manhattan, Kansas; and Miss Emma Grossman of Des Moines.
