Arthur Benjamin Hill was born August 7, 1914 on a farm two miles east of Roland, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Knudt J. Hill. His death occurred at his home at 618 Ninth street in Nevada, April 23, 1960 of a heart attack at the age of 45 years, 8 months and 16 days.
He spent his early life in and around the Roland community, and attended the Roland school. He was baptized and confirmed in Salem Lutheran Church in Roland, later transferring his membership to the Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church.
He was united in marriage to Ethel Lemons on February 24, 1945, in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. Three children were born to this union, Patricia Jane, Gary Ray and Janice Gail. He made his home in Nevada the last two years.
Survivors include the wife, Ethel, the son Gary, and the daughters, Patricia and Janice, all at home. He also leaves three brothers, Reuben Hill of Roland, Albert Hill of Stanhope, and John Hill of San Diego, Calif.; and five sisters, Mrs. J. T. Molde of Nevada, Mrs. Lowell Ellingson, his twin sister of McCallsburg, Mayme Hill of Roland, Mrs. Maggie Johnson of St. Paul, Minn., and Berdella Hill of Chicago, Ill., besides many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
His parents, two brothers, and a sister preceded him in death.
