Eldon L. Fain

Graveside memorial services for Eldon L. Fain, 83, of Parkview Gardens Care Center, will be p.m. Sunday at Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Iowa. Mr. Fain died Wednesday (July 29) at the care center. The cause of death was not available.

He was born March, son of Harry and Camilla Paulsen Fain. He married Vera Troug. She died in 1939. He married Hilda Jensen in 1954. She died in 1977. Mr. Fain was groundskeeper at Iowa State University, Ames. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I.

Survivors include five sons, Eldon of Estherville, Gerald of Waterloo, Larry of New Hampton, Willis of Nevada, Iowa, and Willard of Mallard; two daughters, Shirley Swoyer of Greenfield and Camilla Glidewell of Waterloo; a brother, Harlan of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard and Murwin. There will be no visitation. The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
