F. William Nelson

Dr. F. William Nelson died of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome on March 25 in Houston, Texas.

He was a graduate of Nevada High School in 1970; of Northwestern University in 1974; and of the University of Iowa Medical School in 1978. His internship and residency were in neurology at the University of Texas. He was a clinical instructor in neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center and was assistant professor in neurology at the University of Texas Medical School. He had been in private practice since 1986. He was certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and neurology and the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology.

Survivors include his mother Vivian Nelson of Nevada and his brother, Tom Nelson, and nephew, Joseph Nelson, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Nelson.

A memorial fund has been established.
