THELMA A. LARSON
Thelma A. Larson, 88, of Des Moines IA, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1988, at Charter Community Hospital in Des Moines.
Graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 1, at Nevada Cemetery, Nevada IA, with Rev. Brad Braley officiating.
Mrs. Larson was born Dec. 3, 1900, in Timber Creek Township, Marshall County IA, to Charles Lackey and Gertrude Stephens. She graduated from Madrid IA High School.
She was married to Charles Francis Larson Sept. 25, 1926, at Nevada. She lived in nevda seven years after graduation. She also lived in Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Atlanta GA, Bismark ND, and Kansas City MO. Her last home was in San Mateo CA for over 20 years.
She had worked in Peoples Savings Bank in Nevada.
She belonged to Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Nevada Chapter No. 296, for 67 years.
Survivors include two brothers, Clyde Lackey of Peoria Il and Leonard Lackey of Des Moines, and a sister, Faye Dickey of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Larson, March 6, 1985; three brothers, Charles Clifford Lackey, Merrill Lackey and Fredrick Lackey, and a sister Gerta Miles.
Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, 5th St. and Lincoln Hwy., Nevada, is in charge of arrangements.
