Harold Earl Huff
Aug. 31, 1912 to Aug. 5, 1995

Harold Earl (Ducky) Huff, 82, of Nevada died of congestive hear failure at Story County Long Term Care in Nevada on Saturday, Aug. 5.

He was born to Wessy and Cora (Barker) Huff in rural Nevada on Aug. 31, 1912. He was a lifelong resident of Nevada.

On Dec. 20, 1935, he married Genevieve Lottie Erickson in Nevada. She preceded him in death on April 26, 1964. He married Athelia (Tops) Somners on Oct. 23, 1965, in Cheyenne, Wyo. She preceded him in death on Aug. 25, 1990. He married Zelma (Post) Olson on Nov. 9, 1991, at the First United Methodist Church, Nevada. He retired in 1993 as a cattle buyer. He was a member of the Cattleman's Association and the First United Methodist Church, Nevada.

Survivors include his wife, Zelma, of Nevada; one son, Galen Huff of Ackley; one sister, Margaret Handsaker of Sun City, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Brenda Swartz of Chicago, Ill., and Sharilyn Byram of Pella; four stepsons, Donald Olson of Tempe, Ariz., Robert Olson of Nevada, Karl Olson of Pleasanton, Calif., and David Olson of Edina, Minn.; and 12 step-children.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; his second wife; his parents; two brothers, Glen in 1990 and Forest in 1917, on infant brother, Marion, in 1925; and two infant daughters, Patricia Marie and Sue Ann Huff.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 9, at First United Methodist Church in Nevada with Pastor James W. King officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada, handled arrangements.
