Claude Sellers died Thursday
Claude Sellers, 68, 823 Burnett Ave., died about 4 p.m. Thursday at Mary Greeley Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past several years.
He was a native of Story County, the son of the late John W. and Margaret Rose Sellers, descendants of pioneer settlers in this area.
He attended the public schools in Nevada and Ames and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in dairy plants in St. Louis, Mo. and Clinton and Springfiled, Ill. For the past 10 years, he had been field representative for the Boone-Story Dairy Products Improvement Association.
he was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, the Arcadia Chapter of Masonic Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star, and was a veteran of World War I.
and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Hopkins of Reno, Nev.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. LeRoy Burroughs of St. John's Episcopal Church officiating. Cremation will follow and interment will be in the Valhalla Columbarium in St. Louis, Mo., with a son Robert, who died in early youth.
A memorial service for Mr. Sellers will take place in the chapel of memories there in the spring.
