Carrie L. Watson

Mrs. Carrie L. Watson, 85, of Nevada died Thursday afternoon at the Story County Hospital. She had been ill for the past 3 1/2 months.

Born in DeKalb County, Tennessee to H.E. and Tennie Taylor*, she had lived in Nevada for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Nevada Baptist Church.

Watson is survived by three sons, Elmer and Kenneth of Boone and Robert of Ames; by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elzen, who died in 1959, by her parents, two twin brothers and a son.

Services will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Osterhout officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Carrie Lee Mullican was the daughter of Hezekiah Ezekial Mullican and Tennessee "Tennie" Taylor. In the 1940 census, "Tennie Taylor" is living with Elzen and Carrie Watson in Milford Township, Story County, Iowa.
