Roy Riggs, 74, Nevada, Is Dead

Roy Riggs, 74, Nevada, Route 2, died about 11:30 a.m. Sunday at his home. He had been ill only a short time.

Born at Farmer City, Ill., he came to Story County as a small child. He was a farmer.

Mr. Riggs was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church at Nevada.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie; four children, Lee Riggs of Des Moines, Eugene Cook of Nevada, Mrs. Virginia Bradley of Oak Ridge, Va. and Mrs. Doris Cooper of Ames; a brother, Lawrence Riggs of La Moilla, Ill. and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. form the Adams Funeral Home. The Rev. Victor Hackbarth, pastor of the Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church will be in charge. Burial is in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
