Chris Peterson, 77, Nevada, died

Chris K. Peterson, 81, Nevada died at Story County Hospital at 10:02 a.m. today. He had been a patient there since. Sept. 15.

A retired farmer and carpenter, Mr. Peterson had been a resident of Story County for 58 years. He was born in Denmark March 17, 1880, and was married to Lena Rasmussen in Des Moines, Jan. 9, 1909.

He is survived by one son, Edward of Boone, a daughter, Mr.s Earl Prescott of Nevada, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and a brother Peter of Denmark.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one sister.

Funeral services will be held from Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada Saturday at 2 p.m., the Rev. Victor Hackbarth officiating. Burial will be in Nevada cemetery.
