HARRY EVANS

Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Marvin L. Hulse officiating for Harry H. Evans, 334 E Ave., Nevada who died at his home Friday evening. He was 80.

Born May 28, 1894, in Putnam County, Indiana, he was the son of Mathias and Caroline Evans. He had been a resident of Story County for the past 56 years and was a retired farmer.

He was married to Nora Emerson on June 6, 1923 in Nevada and was a member of the local VFW.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Wilford of Nevada; one daughter, Mrs. Celia Baker of Ames; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one daughter.

Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
