Miss Gunderson Is Dead at Story City

STORY CITY (UP) -- Miss Carrie Gunderson, 87, died at the old people's home here about midnight Saturday of complications due to old age. Miss Gunderson was the first patient in the Story City hospital when it opened here in 1914, and when she was released, she entered the old people's home where she had since resided. She came her from Roland.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel at the home with the Rev. M. O. Sumstad of Roland in charge. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery. No near relatives survive.
